Mohamed, coming from the northern Somali city of bosaso,is the only foreign student in the current KeTLOD project. This country locates in the easternmost part of the African continent, and somalia has been almost anarchic since the civil war began in late 1990. “We have no organ transplant in our country and I want to be the first organ transplant surgeon in somalia when I come back.” He told reporters that somalia now lacks a hospital for organ transplants, and that the majority of patients with organ failure cannot afford to travel abroad but only wait helplessly to die. Recently, xinhua news agency interviewed this special “African young man”.
